Dr. Katharina Mader

Katharina Mader is an economist and has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Heterodox Economics at Vienna University of Economics and Business since 2011, where she completed her doctorate in social and economic sciences in 2008.

Her research focuses on feminist economics, care economics, income and wealth distribution and gender budgeting. She is involved in the research networks efas (economy, feminism and science) Berlin and IAFFE (International Association for Feminist Economics).
Awards received to date: 2019 Käthe Leichter Prize, 2017 16th Vienna Women's Prize, 2009 Gabriele Possanner Promotion Prize, 2008 Dr. Maria Schaumayer Prize.
