PD Dr. Sonja Strube
Sonja Strube works as a private lecturer and research assistant at the Institute for Catholic Theology at the University of Osnabrück. She completed her doctorate "magna cum laude" in 1999 with the feminist-theological thesis "Wegen dieses Wortes ..." Feministische und nichtfeministische Exegese im Vergleich am Beispiel der Auslegungen zu Mk 7,24-30" and completed her habilitation in 2009 with an interdisciplinary empirical research on everyday Bible readings. She is the substitute for the Chair of New Testament Studies at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and a Junior Professor for Religious Education and Didactics as well as for Religious Education at the University of Wuppertal. Furthermore, she is a TEA Visiting Professor for "New Legal Christianity" at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at Eberhard Karls University Tübingen.
Since 2011 her research focus is on "Rechtspopulismus, Rechtsextremismus, christlicher Fundamentalismus, Anti-Genderismus", based on which she has already written three
books, four expert reports and 44 specialist articles.
