Prof. Dr. Anke Strüver
Anke Strüver works as a Professor of Human Geography at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Research at the University of Graz.
She has been researching, teaching and publishing for 20 years on issues at the interface of geography and gender, including current projects on embodied environmental and gender justice, (un)mapping gender and gender justice in sustainable urban development.
From 2010 to 2018: Professor of Social Geography at the University of Hamburg
2008/09: Maria Goeppert-Mayer Visiting Professor for Gender Research at the University of Osnabrück
2016 to 2019: research project "Relationale Geographien der Ernährung: räumliche und soziale Verortungen von Verantwortung in Diskursen und Praktiken "nachhaltiger" Ernährung" (funding: Fritz-Thyssen-Foundation);
Intensive research collaborations, including with Sybille Bauriedl in the field of "Feministische Geographien" (joint anthology 2010, Verlag Westfälisches Dampfboot) and "Kritische Perspektiven auf die Digitalisierung in Städten" (joint anthology 2018, Transcript-Verlag).
